On July 2, a high-end forum on the innovation of foreign language education through research institute-industry-university collaboration was held online. The forum was co-sponsored by SUIBE and the Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press (FLTRP). The forum was organized by the School of Languages of SUIBE and SUIBE-WES Institute of Holistic Education. Yu Xuemei, vice president of SUIBE, Wang Luping, deputy director of the Training Center of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and Chang Xiaoling, deputy editor-in-chief of FLTRP, delivered opening speeches.
Yu Xuemei pointed out that progress has been made by SUIBE in the co-construction of education practice base. The high-end forum, where senior experts from various fields gathered, would surely make new contributions to helping foreign language disciplines fulfill their missions and promoting the intensive development of China’s reform and opening up, Yu Xuemei said.
The forum included six modules in international communication, international trade, cross-border e-commerce, international organizations, foreign-related rule of law and international education, and 16 reports were delivered at the event. Experts from government, enterprises and universities conducted cross-boundary dialogues.
