On April 24th, the School of Executive Development of SUIBE held the opening ceremony of aworkshop on the further development of China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone. Yu Xuemei, Deputy Director of the Department of Commerce of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and XuYonglin, SUIBE vice president， attended the ceremony and delivered speeches.
XuYonglin introduced the general situation of SUIBE, hoping that the participants would learn from the workshop and make full use of what they learn. He also hoped that the development of Chian (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone would become a new driver of the economic development of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and a new benchmark for free trade zones in southwest China.
Yu Xuemei pointed out in her mobilization speech that the purpose of the workshop is to introducethe experience and practices of pilot free trade zones in advanced areas to Guangxi officials, and thus enhance the theoreticaland practical capability, so that theChina (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone can achieve high-level opening up and high-quality development in an earlier date. She hoped that the participants would give full play to the free trade zone's guiding and leading role, and buildthe free trade zone intoa strategic pillarfor Guangxi's development.
QiuGuixi, dean of SUIBE School of Open Education, introduced the background of the workshop with the notion that and briefed the audience on the curriculum, lecturers, and teaching of the workshop.
