数字化转型已经成为企业高质量发展的重要路径。本文使用2007~2016 年上市公司和海关数据,在M-O 模型理论框架的基础上,通过引入数字化转型,深入考察了数字化转型对企业加成率的微观影响和作用机制。研究发现:数字化转型对企业加成率的影响取决于生产率、成本变化和竞争的净效应,综合来看显著降低了企业加成率;机制分析显示,数字化转型的成本投入效应和竞争效应是重要的传导渠道。异质性分析表明,对于非国有企业、中低生产率企业和中低融资约束的企业,数字化转型对企业加成率的负面影响更大;此外,出口倾向显著抑制了数字化转型对企业加成率的负面影响。本文的发现对推进数字经济与实体经济的深度融合进而更好地驱动企业数字化转型有重要启示,一方面鼓励企业进行高质量数字化转型,另一方面充分发挥数字化转型在推动高质量出口中的重要作用。 |

The Eff ect of Digital Transformation on Firms’ Markups:Theoretical Mechanism and Empirical Evidences |

Digital transformation has become an important path for the high quality development of firms. By using the data of listed companies and customs data from 2007 to 2016, and on the basis of the theoretical framework of M-O model, through the introduction of digital transformation, this paper makes an investigation of the micro effects and mechanism of digital transformation on the firms’markups. The results show that the impact of digital transformation on the firms’markups depends on the net effect of productivity, cost changes and competition. As a result, digital transformation significantly reduces the firms’markups. Mechanism analysis shows that the input costs effect and competition effect of digital transformation is an important channel. The heterogeneity analysis shows that the negative impact of digital transformation on the firms’markups is larger for firms in the non-stateowned firms, medium and low productivity firms and medium and low financing constrained firms. The study also finds that the export tendency inhibited the negative impact of digital transformation on the firms’markups. The results would contribute to policy decision-making on promoting the deep integration between digital economy and real economy,which eventually boosts the digital transformation.On the one hand, high-quality digital transformation of enterprises should be encouraged, and on the other hand, full play s hould be given to the important role of digital transformation in promoting Chinese high-quality exports. |
